Biaxial Testing Techniques of Thin-Walled Tubular Specimens.

Abstract

A biaxial testing technique of a thin-walled tubular specimen is described. The specimen was loaded with a combination of axial tension/compression and internal/external pressure. The technique can be used to test tubular specimens of any material. The yield surface of 2014-T651 aluminum was determined to illustrate the testing technique and data analysis. (Author)
