Optimization of Multiple-Response Simulation Models.

Abstract

This report describes several computerized multiple-variable, multiple-response optimization procedures for use in connection with computer simulation models. These procedures include complex search, a sequential first-order response surface approach, a second-order response surface method, and complex search followed by second-order response surface analysis. These four optimization procedures are evaluated with a stochastic inventory simulation model, a tank duel simulation, and a naval minefield evaluation model. (Author)
