An Automated Coordinate Measurement System for Smoke Trail Photographs.

Abstract

A semi automatic Coordinate Measurement System for Photographic imagery is described. The system features the use of computer directed film transport motion and video densitometry to locate, measure, and record the positions of smoke trail images which are used to trace the stratospheric field.
