The Nature and Mission Relatedness of Race and Sex Discrimination in the Navy.
Abstract
Intensive interviews and observations were conducted by experienced, high level psychologists, to assess the nature and mission-impact of race and sex discrimination in the Navy. Sampling contexts were determined by concensus of active naval commanders' definitions of factors crucial to combat readiness. Pervasive discrimination was found, seriously threatening mission capabilities. (Author)
