Novel Microcomputer-Controlled Potentiometric Analysis System.

Abstract

A novel microcomputer-controlled potentiometric analysis system is described. This system combines the low cost and ease of construction advantages of microcomputer-based instrumentation with the high level software capabilities of a minicomputer. This is made possible through the use of a powerful new computer language called CONVERS. The instrumentation and CONVERS software system are described. Applications of this system to endpoint determination in potentiometric titrations and fully automated generation of calibration curve data for multiple ion selective electrodes are described. Modification and extension of the current hardware and software to permit automation of other potentiometric methods are discussed. (Author)
