Terminal Area Forecasts, Fiscal Years 1979-1990,
Abstract
This document presents forecasts of key aviation activity measures for 905 airports and radar approach control facilities through the year 1990. The report is organized in two major parts. The first part is a general summary and includes summary highlights, the introduction, a brief overview of the forecast methodology and an extensive series of summary tables and charts. This summary provides a useful national overview as well as a comparison amoung regions. Part two contains the forecasts for each airport. It is arranged alphabetically by FAA region and within each region by state. The airports in each state are listed alphabetically by community and inclued summary information for the facility followed by annual projections for fiscal years (FY) 1979 through 1990. The summary indicates the airports tower/nontower status, daily hours of tower operations, presence of commuter passenger service, the number of aircraft based at the airport and the 1977 military operations.
