Simulated Airdrop Test-Weapons and Individual Equipment

Abstract

This test operation procedure (TOP) describes the test method used to determine whether weapons and individual equipment (when rigged in common or special purpose containers) jumped by individual parachutists are capable of functioning as intended after landing on the drop zone. The items evaluated by this TOP are limited to those released on a lowering line prior to landing, to include missiles and any type organizational or mission equipment jumped by individual parachutists.
