Mathematical Theory of Laminar Combustion. IV. Steady Burning of a Linear Condensate.

Abstract

We are concerned here with the deflagration of reactants that are produced by gasification at the surface of a solid or liquid. In particular, the influence of pressure on the gasification rate is examined under various conditions. In contrast to earlier treatments, the basic phenomena, including several unsuspected ones, are clearly uncovered by activation-energy asymptotics. (Author)
