An Evaluation of the Bird/Aircraft Strike Hazard (Bash) Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Michigan.

Abstract

The bird/aircraft strike hazard (BASH) at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Michigan was surveyed during the period 22 May to 2 June 1978. Special emphasis was placed on local gull activities which contribute significantly to the bird strike potential. Recommendations aimed at reducing the airfield bird strike potential are part of this report. (Author)
