Design of Feedback Control and Geometry Parameters via MOFNM.

Abstract

A modified Newton technique (MOFNM) is presented and applied to the optimization of several design parameters of a remotely piloted vehicle. The technique is programmed to simultaneously optimize the gains of the feedback system and the geometry parameters of the vehicle. A logrithmic transformation is developed, and implemented to guarantee sign definite final design parameters. Several examples are included to illustrate the technique's effectiveness. (Author)
