Inhibition of Kininase II (Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme) by Human Serum Albumin and Its Fragments.

Abstract

Because we have recently reported that blood contains inhibitors of angiotensin I converting enzyme (kininase II; CE), we investigated whether albumin and its fragments can inhibit CE, thus block the release of angiotensin II4 and the inactivation of bradykinin.
