A Modified LEPS Surface for Carbon Dioxide.

Abstract

A modified LEPS (London-Eyring-Polanyi-Sato) potential surface has been developed for the ground state of the carbon dioxide molecule. Both the Sato Parameter and the Morse equilibrium distances have been made functions of the coordinates. A very flexible LEPS surface is thus created which fits many of the known properties of the CO2 potential.
