Note on a Time Dependent Queue M/D/1 with Input Equal to Service Rate.

Abstract

In this paper we consider the time-dependent behaviour of a single-server queue with Poisson input and constant service time, where the input rate equals the reciprocal of the service time. Formulae for the probabilities associated with different queue-lengths have been derived by an empirical method which included inspection of some numerical results. These formulae are now proved correct by induction. (Author)
