Mutagen and Oncogen Study on Nitroguanidine

Abstract

The material evaluated in this study was subjected to a matrix of in vitro assays employing microbial cells, mammalian cells in culture and in vivo tests measuring potential germ cell effects in mice and rats. Nitroguanidine produced no evidence of genetic activity in any of the studies comprising this investigation. No evidence for genetic potential or risk was obtained under the conditions of this evaluation. No evidence for genetic potential or risk was obtained under the conditions of this evaluation.
