Wire Obstacle Warning System.

Abstract

The requirements for a Wire Obstacle Warning System (WOWS) have been studied to establish the design trade offs which are compatible with the WOWS development specification DS-EH-0232A(V). The results presented in this report form the basis for the detailed WOWS design. This report covers the System Requirements, Stabilization Requirements, and Electro-Optical Design considerations for a Flyable Exploratory Development Model of a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) Sensor System operating as an Automatic Pattern Recognition System.
