Priority Loss Systems - Unequal Holding Times.

Abstract

Two classes of voice calls use the same s-channel trunk group. A mathematical model is developed for the case where one class of traffic can preempt the other and the mean holding times of each class of traffic may be different. These results are then used to numerically investigate the behavior of various measures of performance for both classes of customers as well as the system in general. (Author)
