Oceanography for Long Range Sonar in Atlantic Area a for August.

Abstract

The area considered in this report encompasses two water masses, the Gulf Stream and northwestern Sargasso Sea water. Because the Gulf Stream does not occupy a fixed position, the boundary between it and the northwestern Sargasso Sea must be somewhat arbitrary. For this reason data for both water types are presented. (Author)
