Abstract
During 22-24 February 1978 a symposium-workshop was held at the USAF Academy for the purpose of identifying and clarifying Air Force requirements for basic research in civil engineering and environmental quality. This informal proceedings summarizes the presentations made by representatives of Air Force agencies with active programs of civil engineering and environmental quality R and D. Also, it summarizes the conclusions and recommendations of workshops conducted in four areas of interest: (1) Nuclear Weapons Effects Analysis; (2) Civil Engineering Readiness; (3) Environmental Quality; and (4) Civil Engineering Productivity and Livability.
