Development of a Workshop on Construction and Validation of Skill Qualification Tests

Abstract

Skill Qualification Tests (SQT) are the quality control instruments for the Army's new Enlisted Personnel Management System. The tests, which are used to evaluate the solider's job mastery, are developed by personnel in the Army's Test Development Agencies (TDA) responsible for the various job specialties. Since the SQT entails a new performance-oriented approach to proficiency testing, TDA personnel must be trained in the techniques of SQT development.
