Background Stationarity of High Resolution Sonar Systems.

Abstract

This report describes the theory, the applied technique and the results of the study of background stationarity when using large time-bandwidth product sonar transmissions. Stationarity is defined in the theory to mean the RMS background level is invariant with time. Graphical representation of the results indicate that the data does have a Rayleigh distribution there by confirming the stationarity. (Author)
