Shipboard Antenna Pattern Inversion using Prony's Method.

Abstract

Because far field antenna patterns can be expressed in terms of an exponential series of the spatial distribution of the source, they are candidates for Prony processing. Prony's method is used here to invert antenna pattern data to obtain the source distribution. Applications to pattern data characterization and pattern data compression are demonstrated. (Author)
