Wood Anatomy of Neotropical Sapotaceae. III. Dipholis.

Abstract

The wood anatomy of Dipholis described here is based primarily on the type species D. salicifolia. Three species attributed to Dipholis have very strong affinities with Mastichodendron and perhaps belong in that taxon. Dipholis jubilla, of uncertain taxonomic status, is characterized by banded parenchyma and very long vessel members. (Author)
