Networks of Queues - Approximation Results.

Abstract

This report is a sequel to our earlier review paper Lemoine (1977) on the equilibrium analysis of networks of queues. In this report we review some approximation results for networks of queues. Detailed discussion is limited to results which can be rigorously justified. In addition, we call attention to some important open problems. The bibliography includes references for results derived in a heuristic or informal fashion and includes background material on diffusion processes. (Author)
