The Impact of DBMS on ADP Management.

Abstract

This paper describes the impact of implementing a major database management system (DBMS) in a batch data processing environment and the changes which have transpired in the four years since IDMS was installed. Emphasis is on the management view of the change and what future trends in management requirements can be expected based on past experience.
