Abstract

Nitrogen self-diffusiuitres have been measured in both the grains and grain boundaries of hot-pressed silicon nitride by the direct observation of a nuclear reaction. Nuclear microanalytical techniques and their utilization in the field of materials, and the calculation and measurement of a nuclear differential reaction cross section are also included. (Author)
