Abstract

Twenty Army tactical computer based systems were surveyed to determine Army embedded computer system requirements during the period 1978-1990. The survey was conducted by means of personal interviews with system developers and by means of a questionnaire. Results indicate Army Requirements for 52,250 computers for these 20 systems surveyed. Results were extrapolated for a total of 135,000 computers required for 130 systems. (Author)
