Design Parameters for a Gyro-TWA Operating at the Second Cyclotron Harmonic.

Abstract

Designs for a 10 GHz gyrotron travelling wave amplifier are made on the basis of recent gyrotron theory. The amplifier operates on the TE sub 01 waveguide mode at the second electron cyclotron harmonic frequency. Although the designs are for specific systems, the design procedures as well as the trend shown in the various design options are of general interest. (Author)
