Chemical Generation of O2((1) Delta sub G) I.

Abstract

Production of singlet delta oxygen has been measured with electron spin resonance spectroscopy. A chemical reaction between chlorine and basic hydrogen peroxide was used to produce the excited oxygen. Several chemical and physical parameter variations were studied and analyzed on the basis of the fraction of singlet delta oxygen in the total oxygen product gas. (Author)
