Chaparral Skill Retention

Abstract

The acquisition and retention of selected Chaparral skills were evaluated as a function of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), refresher training, and time. Performance was measured using hands-on performance tests administered at the end of AIT and in the unit and the Technical Manual (TM). Results suggest that use of the TM facilitates skill retention and reduces the need for refresher training.
