Estimation of Rate Constants in the Michaelis - Menten Model

Abstract

Nonlinear models leading to Michaelis-Menten scheme result from the study compartment systems as well as in other contexts. Using difference equation approach, rate constants are estimated in some simple models. Simulation methods are used to derive the distributions of these estimates. It is shown that the assumptions of normality of errors leads to the normal distribution of the estimated rate constants. (Author)
