Physical and Chemical Properties of JP-4 Fuel for 1978.

Abstract

Random samples of 651 fuel inspection reports on JP-4 fuel have been analyzed for the calendar year 1978. Determination of average properties and frequency distribution of these properties has been undertaken. Properties selected were twenty-three different parameters which coincide with JP-4 fuel specifications (MIL-T-5624K). Through comparison of previous reports, specifically 1975, it can be noted that no major fluctuations have occurred. In compiling the data, all reports were given equal weight regardless of what quantity of fuel was represented. Also, this year th only method used for testing fuel thermal stability was the JFTOT (ASTM Method D 3241) Fuel Coker. (Author)
