Measured Effects of 450-, 350-, and 250-MHz Pulsed and 26-MHz CW Radiofrequency Fields on Cardiac Pacemakers.

Abstract

Tests were performed to measure the effects of 450-, 350-, and 250-MHz pulsed and 26-MHz CW radiofrequency radiation cardic pacemakers. Thirty-three pacemaker models from fourteen different manufacturers were tested both in a free field and simulated implant configuration. The test results presented indicated that the majority fo the manufacturers represented had succeeded in producing EMI-resistant pacemakers. (Author)
