Lexicon of Aircraft Transparency Terms.

Abstract

This lexicon deals with terms and definitions peculiar to personnel working with aircraft transparent enclosures. All types of material currently used in the fabrication of transparent enclosures (acrylic, glass, polycarbonate) is addressed. Terms are either specific or general when applied to materials; and vision /optics terms, in most instances, are common to windscreens, canopies, and windows. (Author)
