Derivation of Cumulative Multiple-Ping Detection Probability Model

Abstract

Using the equations and initial conditions given, along with a sequence of independent single ping probabilities, the probability that a group of m pings contains at least n threshold crossings can be calculated, as well as the cumulative probability (through the current group) that any group of m consecutive pings contains n or more threshold crossings, thus meeting the n of m criterion.
