Abstract

The DARPA-NRL Program is concerned with the development of laser technology. New concepts in photolytic pumping and wavelength conversion have been investigated. Limitations of the mercury halide lasers have been studied. The basic physics of the XeF laser has been examined theoretically and experimentally.
