Balanced Games, Cores, and Ultraproducts.
Abstract
Schmeidler's elegant generalization of Shapley's well-known result on Balanced Games is proved by means of the nonstandard constructions of Luxemburg and Robinson. The proof replaces the use of the Axiom of Choice with that of the weaker Boolean Prime Ideal Theorem. (Author)
