Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves by Obstacles in the Presence of the Earth's Surface: Current Distribution on Perfectly Conducting Cylindrical Loops in an Incident.

Abstract

The current distribution excited by an external field on a perfectly conducting cylindrical loop with zero thickness placed above the earth's surface with its axis normal to the earth is obtained. The case two coupled coaxial loops at different separations has also been solved. A variational principle is employed in the derivation. (Author)
