Project Sea Hunt-FY 78.

Abstract

The unique sensory and behavioral abilities of pigeons have been field tested, using three trained specimens for aerial reconnaissance. Their abilities have proven in field tests to be directly applicable as an aid to search and rescue missions. This report presents the methodology and results of the field tests. The results of this effort will provide information necessary in the planning of future development and use of the Sea Hunt System by the Navy and Coast Guard. (Author)
