Studies of Ionization Processes.

Abstract

This is the final report for Grant AFOSR 75-2770. Advances in chemical dynamics are not usually achieved by a single experiment but rather by a blend of informations using a variety of techniques. As a consequence, the results of this research project may be classified in three separate categories: (a) preparation of the expeirments with electronically excited atoms and molecules; (b) measurements of kinetic energy thresholds for ion-pair production from molecular collisions, with subsequent derivation of molecular binding energies and electron affinities; and (c) thermal energy chemi-ionization processes.
