Summary of Theoretical and Experimental Investigations of Vortex Lift at High Angles of Attack.

Abstract

This Summary Report presents the development and verification of a theoretical prediction method for predicting aerodynamic characteristics of low aspect ratio and delta wings at high angles of attack. A summay of the experimental measurements made on low aspect ratio swept wings with leading edge vortex devices is presented as well as a discussion of the final computer program that was developed and correlated with experimental data obtained on swept and delta wings during the last year of the contract effort.
