Test Report. Heidelberg AMME-E Acceptance Test (Contract GS-00C-00058).

Abstract

This report delineates results of the Heidelberg AMME-E Acceptance Test conducted to provide technical and test support for implementation of the AMME project. The contract required Univac to engineer, furnish, and install (ef and I) an automated telecommunication system capable of processing and accounting for narrative and data record traffic at several command sites. The AMME-E is used as a store and forward switching system capable of interfacing more than one AUTODIN switching center (ASC). The AMME system provides the capability of operating with Interim Remote Terminals (IRT's), Standard Remote Terminals (SRT's) and Mode I terminals in addition to over-the-counter (OTC) services. The Heidelberg AMME-E system is configured with two interchangeable UNIVAC 9400 processors and the DCT-9000 for on-line peripheral control.
