Abstract

The Department of the Navy Energy Program and Plan - 1979 provides an annual report on the status and direction of energy resource management and planning. The document includes an annual report on Navy Department energy activities and accomplishments and an overview of the energy situation including naval energy requirement and cost projections to the year 2000. The energy program is described in terms of Navy Department energy goals, energy management and organization, fuel distribution and allocation, and shore, ship, and aircraft operations. The latter includes energy conservation, use of synthetic fuels, and alternative energy sources. (Author)
