Design Feasibility Analysis of Fiber Reinforced Composite Army Tank Track Connector Link.

Abstract

This report documents the baseline definition, material, design, and manufacturing analyses performed on an Army Tank Track Connector Link. Significant technical issues were identified and potential solutions recommended for further study. The selected design was chosen from a trade study of several potential concepts. These design concepts and detailed results of the trade study are presented. Structural analysis and design was performed on the selected concept to establish predicted performance. Cost analyses were also conducted to determine production costs. (Author)
