Monthly Climatology for Evaporation Duct Occurrence in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Abstract

Evaporation duct climatologies are given for 10 North Atlantic Ocean weather stations. Statistics for evaporation duct height, a measure of duct intensity, are presented in the forms of frequencies of occurrence for each month and histograms of percentages of occurrence for mid-months of each of the four seasons. These data can be used both for operational planning and as input to war gaming. (Author)
