Fixed Camera Data Dusty Infrared Test-I (DIRT-I) 2 October through 14 October 1978.

Abstract

The Dusty Infrared Test-I (DIRT-I) was conducted in October 1978 to quantify electromagnetic propagation through artillery dust clouds. This report, which is one in a series of reports on DIRT-I, describes the techniques for determining cloud size, shape, and relative position as a function of time. Cloud growth data are given for 29 of 36 discrete events and cloud periphery imaging data are given for the 37th continuous fire events. (Author)
