Study of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine how MCTSSA should be organized, and where it should be located to best accomplish its stated mission within the Marine Corps and Department of Defense systems acquisition process, as described in the Marine Corps Development and Education Command Order. MCTSSA's mission mandates responsibility for nearly all aspects of the research, development, test, evaluation, and software support of new and existing Marine Corps tactical data systems. The only excepted areas are basic laboratory research, generally conducted by the Navy, and the actual material production of prototypes and production models.
