Some Recent Developments in Multiple Decision Theory: A Brief Overview,

Abstract

This paper surveys some recent developments in multiple decision (selection and ranking) theory. The spirit and philosophy underlying this approach to comparing k populations are discussed briefly. Criteria to construct optimal multipledecision procedures, which are based on some 'modifications' of decision theory, are discussed. The combination of the indifference zone and the subset selection approach into a general framework is described. (Author)
