Coil Spring Failures in Aerospace Hardware.

Abstract

The failures of coil springs used in aerospace hardware because of fatigue and stress corrosion are evidence that there are reliability problems with these springs. The obvious and not so obvious origins of these reliability problems are discussed here. (Author)
