Requirements Standards Study. Volume I. Technical Report Overview.

Abstract

Military systems acquisition has a highly regulated environment. However, many of the military system engineering management procedures are not appropriate for the complexity of the systems being procured. This volume summarizes the results of a Logicon study for the Air Force in which guidelines and standards for systems requirements definition and analysis have been developed for the initial phases of an Air Force systems acquisition. This volume presents an overview of the Air Force systems acquisition environment and associated requirements engineering problems. This volume briefly discusses the methodology applied during the study and the technical results.
