Some Additional Models for Rainfall.

Abstract

The Kappa distribution, which has a closed form cumulative distribution, is used to model daily rainfall for 24 stations distributed throughout the world. separate models are given for each month. Estimates of the amounts of error in using the model to predict daily rainfall less than a stated amount are given. (Author)
